RECON 2019’s special guest appearance was musician/internet superstar Jonathan Coulton! Known for songs such as “Code Monkey,” “IKEA,” "re:Your Brains,” and of course “Still Alive” from Portal.
2020 Special Guest: Jason Tondro
Jason Tondro is a Game Designer, Editor, Writer-Paizo Publishing. As the author of various RPG products he came to run a panel on narrative in games, visit with our Game Design program, and more!

RECON 2018 featured YouTube board game celebrities Tom Vasel, Zee Garcia, and Sam Healey visited for the entire weekend and hosted a game show, live show, and spent the weekend playing games with guests.

2019 Special Guest: Meeple People
Meeple People Comedy
Meeple People is a comedy web series about a group of eclectic geeks in their 30s who come together for a weekly game night in a suburb of Ohio. We had have creator Dean Donofrio, Co-Creator and actress ErinRose Widner, and actors Pritesh Shah and Tess Hunt on campus for a screening, panel, and playing games (and Werewolf!) with attendees!
2018 Musical Guest: Dakaboom

Musical comedy duo Dakaboom entertained the crowd with their post-modern vaudeville act. Ben McLain and Paul Peglar combined different musical genres with hilarious twists for an amazing show.
2017 Special Guest: Christopher Sabat

Known for his voice acting in roles such as Vegeta and Piccolo in Gragon Ball and as the founder and director of Okratron 5000, Christopher Sabat help a Q&A panel for the guests in RECON 2017 as well as assisting at the trivia contest.

Amanda Lee, better known as AmaLee is a singer and voice actress known for her YouTube channel where she sings songs from various animes and video games. She performed an amazing concert for the guests of RECON 2017.
2016 Special Guest: Steve Blum

Voice actor Steve Blum, known for being the voice of Spike in Cowboy Bebop, Zeb in Star Wars Rebels, Wolverine in numerous games and animated specials and Starscream in Transformers: Prime hosted a Q&A session as well as co-hosting the annual trivia contest.
